Starting up on a market is significantly cheaper than renting a shop unit. We are upfront about our costs: there are never hidden costs or charges when it comes to your rent and service charge. We offer affordable rent levels at all of our markets and undertake extensive research of the surrounding areas to ensure we are offering competitive prices for what we offer our traders.

Dedicated site managers

Morley Market has an experienced and passionate Market Management Team. These roles are to build relationships with traders, make sure they are happy and everything is going well, as well as being an on-site point of contact in emergencies should a matter arise.

Low risk

Short term licenses are available, meaning that you can trial your business for as little as three months. We would recommend you sign for at least six months to get a thorough understanding of the market and how you can make your business as successful as possible, as well as giving yourself time to establish your business with regular customers and locals.

Inclusion in the market’s marketing and comms activity

As well as a market manager, a number of our markets also have assistants who manage the market’s marketing and communications strategy, including social media and website promotions, event planning and organisation and PR. This will always involve traders and your contributions/ideas are always welcome. We see our traders as our biggest ambassadors so your inclusion and feedback is very important to us.

Quick and easy to begin trading

Our market managers work with you to get you into the market and trading as soon as possible.

For our market, all you will need to start up is an advance of rent to secure your stall, (prices vary depending on market and rent), proof of ID, proof of address and Public Liability Insurance. If you are going to be selling food, you will need to have the relevant Environment Health certificates and proof of registration with the local authority.
